The Insectosec® range contains silicium dioxide otherwise known as diatomaceous earth or amorphous silica. This natural, insecticide-free, powder acts on the outer layer of the cuticle of any insect it contacts. Their outer, protective waxy coating is disrupted and the insect dies.

Insectosec is effective against larval stages of many insects and the adults of crawling insects such as ants, silverfish, woodlice, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, earwigs, carpet beetles, spider beetles, booklice, bedbugs, stored product species including beetles and weevils.

Description

DE products are best used in less visible areas where a white deposit is not an issue.  Do not over apply. The powder will remain dry and effective for long periods.  Optimal results will be achieved when treatment areas are dried before application. Apply in such a way as to maximise potential for contact between the product and the target pest. In certain premises/situations this may involve moving products, drying out the area or otherwise making changes to the harbourage to increase contact with the pest.  The Insectosec range can be used in both domestic and commercial premises.
