The T Protect™ Textile Protector is a specially designed polymer dispenser which holds a small but measured quantity of the female sex pheromone of Clothes Moths. The dispenser controls the rate of release of the pheromone over a prolonged period and the higher-than-normal presence of their own pheromone makes it more difficult for male moths to find females.
This confusion or disruption to their normal behaviour, in turn means a drop in successful mating encounters, fewer eggs being laid and a reduction in the number of moth larvae that could damage fabrics, textiles and other materials. With continued use, even long-term Clothes Moth problems can experience a reduction in moth numbers which, when combined with good housekeeping and other IPM measures, can lead to improved management and control.
The T protect is ideally designed to be discrete for textile, heritage, costume storage and numerous other sites that are
