LURE & TRAP KIT

The kit includes one pad lure and one museum (blunder) trap.   Both the lure and traps can be purchased separately.

The lure is designed to attract adult male Webbing Clothes Moths (Tineola bisselliella) in small spaces such as cupboards and display cases. It should be changed every 12 weeks.

In order to capture moths, pad lures need to be placed on a sticky trap that does not have an integrated attractant e.g., Black Floor Trap, Clearview Trap, Museum Trap or the Black & White Striped Delta Trap. Change the trap if the glue surface has become inactive due to dust and debris.

Description

The webbing clothes moth (latin nameTineola bisselliella) is the most common clothes moth present in the UK.  The adult moths are small (5-7mm long), silvery-fawn coloured with their wings folded over their back when at rest.  They fly poorly and are usually found near the ground and are often seen running over surfaces with a scuttling motion.
